hello,

As the subject said I''m a newbie and a novice when it comes to jewelry. The time has come for me to look for a beautiful ring to match my beautiful gf. She has in fact been somewhat specific-she wants something simple and elegant, but with nice detail and intricate design. The pic I''ve attached is a good example of the setting I have in mind. Rather than just buying it, id like to see if any of you had any other suggestions. Keep in mind that my gf''s hands are tiny (size 4.5), so please limit your post to non-bulky rings and keep in mind that i''m on a student budget (looking for 14k or 18k white gold). I appreciate your help.

I''d check out beverley K rings. Pearlmans carries the line and you can see pics with pricing. They are very well made and come in 18k wg..

What size and shape center stone are you wanting?

I wear a size 3.5 so I understand the small hands thing. I personally think this is a beautiful setting..

I think that is a lovely stone and Pearlman''s has many rings you can look through and pick your favorites.

Also, Good Old Gold carries Tacori like the ring you posted. You might want to check out Vatache also.

Leon Mege has some elegant looking solitares

Aw...How sweet, I like the design of that ring. Did she pick that one out?
I think the OP said he picked this one based on her "hints" of what she likes to him - but i agree, its nice that he''s trying to get something she''ll really love.
