After months of silent stalking, I am hoping to get some help!
We''ve been looking for diamonds online and having little to no knowledge regarding them, I''m hoping the more experienced members on PS will be able to provide us with some insight, specifically regarding this diamond :

I am having trouble with the link as it brings me to the homepage as usual, could you post the report number for the diamond so I can look it up that way please?

Thank you very much for the input! We really appreciate it!! Will definitely come back for more help soon!

I don't know what you're top budget is, but this one could be nice. It's so hard to say with BN diamonds as we're going on so little info. You want to stick with a very good to great cut, that's what makes the diamond pretty. But that costs, just like color and clarity. I'm hesitant on suggesting SI1's, as BN is known to tell one a diasmond is eyeclean, only to have it not be. This doesn't happen all the time, but it is possible.

Also, G is safe at almost any size and shape. It will be quite white.

And this one should be very nice, if eyeclean...

thanks for the input!! we''ll definitely pass on the first and continue looking. those other 2 look great, but i''m concerned what you said about the possibility of an SI1 not being eye-clean from BN.

we''re looking for a 1.5RB (give or take), ideal cut, color F/G, VS2/SI1. not sure about price range yet, hopefully 9-10K? hopefully thats possible.

if you come across anything that looks promising, send it this way!

Thanks again!

Just be very specific concerning the " eyecleanliness" of the stone, for example if you don't want to see any visible inclusions from any angle or distance, especially at close scrutiny depending on your eyesight, make sure you tell your BN rep that so they understand your expectations. They should be able to get someone who has access to the diamond to inspect it for you and tell you if it matches your requirements in this regard or not.

Those are 2 lovely diamonds Ellen picked out, the first is VS1 clarity so should be totally eyeclean, the second could be so ask as above and check that the grade setting cloud noted on the clarity plot isn't affecting brilliance ( rare but best to check), if it checks out then it could be a great choice.

Remember BN also have a 30 day return policy so plenty of time to inspect a diamond for suitability.

ellen, lorelei and stonecold - i truly appreciate you taking the time to help! we are definitely open to other vendors, BN was just the first one we were looking through.
