newbie...found good diamond?

Hello all - I''m a diamond newbie looking for a princess diamond for an engagement ring. The big day is coming up in August and I''ve been doing my research on here the past month. I think I''ve found a good deal, and it is within my budget of around $2500. I want to get something around 3/4 carats with the best cut possible. As far as clarity...eye clean is only what is important to me. I attached the cert...I hope that''s ok? It is from a reputable pricescope vendor. I asked for an Ideal Scope be sent as they didn''t have it available on the website.

From what I understand, fancy cut diamonds need to be seen to determine quality. Hopefully, it is a great one!! Just make sure your definition of EYE CLEAN is the same as the vendors. What is their return policy, in case you dont like the stone?

Do you have any images of the stone, you could share?

Also, if you really like it, you need to reserve it, while you decide

They have a 30 day return, 100% money back return policy.

BTW, it is listed at Union Diamond, and from my impression from being on these forums is that they are ok...?

Anyway, I just talked to them on the phone and they have no image available, and the location that it is at doesn''t have a camera they said. Also, I noticed this in the certification (which is a reason I posted it), and even though it is an SI2 it doesn''t show any inclusions in it! The guy I talked to noticed that as well and he is sending me a scan of the original cert. (I guess it is relatively new inventory, and they didn''t have the original on hand when they posted it he said)

Just to kind of reiterate, everything here is very new to me and while I know some things theoretically about how a princess diamond should be, I am still unsure of everything. Every place I look leads me to conclude by looking at the stats that this is a good buy. Is that true?

From what I read here, seeing an SI2 with no inclusions on the report would actually worry me, rather than make me happy.

Generically, I''d much prefer generally an F SI 1 or G VS2 (I got that).

Otherwise, the AGS0 is good news.

But, if you''re dealing with a vendor who can''t look at the stone for you...I''d say only get an SI stone if you don''t mind returning it. Is it that good a value? Are you sure somebody else can''t pull it for you equally well who can look at it?

Just some thoughts...
