New Years Eve

Whats everyone doing for new years eve?
If you are having people over, what kinds of food are you serving? full dinner? snacks? pickies?
i''m probably having a few people over and don''t know what to make....my sis is going to times square-those people are nuts.

We''re going to stay in I think, unless we get a better offer. I''d actually love to do something this year but I don''t know if that will happen. My FI and I met in Oct. ''03 and we went away for our first mini-vacation to Quebec City over New Year''s that year. We had the most amazing time! We had dinner at the revolving restaurant at the top of the hotel we were staying and it began snowing during dinner...so romantic! Ever since then we''ve had very low-key NYEs. Nothing can quite top that.

We just got invited to a "pajama party" sleep over [if you want]. At my age, no less . . . !

I think what I''ll do is suggest to DH that we turn up at the appointed hour, hang around for a couple of hours and then head on home.

I prefer to throw my own NYE parties [with my B-Day as the excuse] so I can stay home

. Maybe next year I''ll have my act together! LOL!

A pajama party sounds like fun!

When I was in high school and college my friends and I would rent a hotel room in Boston and do the First Night thing. It''s fun to do once or twice but after several years of doing that, it got a little old. We''d see the parade and the ice sculptures, and go into the Hynes Convention Center and check out the activities they had. I''m not sure what First Night is like elsewhere but the one in Boston is fun if you''ve never done it before. Now though, I''d prefer to be inside somewhere, staying warm.

I have never done First Night in Boston. I didn't even think of it. Yes, I am an idiot. We even have a pied a terre on the river in Cambridge so we could sleep there. Duh.

So now, do I do First night or go to my person's party. Crap. Maybe go to the party and then to First night?

Think I'll go get ready to watch the football game and worry about it tomorrow.
