New Year''s Day engagement for LilyKat!

I''m now officially engaged!!!

So, it definitely wasn''t a surprise (I already bought the wedding dress, after all...) but it was still the most wonderful moment ever. We took a trip to Snowdonia in Wales and on New Year''s Day spent the morning walking all wrapped up in the snow. We went to a small restaurant for an early dinner, and at the end of the meal, he asked me. It was very simple, low-key and just perfect for us.

We wanted to buy the ring together afterwards, so we went to a few jewellers in Wales early this morning to try on rings. I definitely got an idea for the styles I like, but everything was shockingly overpriced and not up to PS standards

So we went back to our hotel, and ordered the most perfect ring from Blue Nile. It should be here in about a week. It is the platinum six-prong setting, G colour, VS2 clarity, 0.75ct round brilliant ideal cut. Will definitely post pics when I get it!

Ok!

The ring I am getting is virtually identical to the one AdiS got from Blue Nile UK (in fact, hers was my semi-inspiration - I changed my mind from 4 to 6 prongs after seeing how beautiful hers was). Same size diamond, almost identical specs, identical setting from same vendor (only in platinum rather than WG). Here is her ring, which I'm hoping mine will look just like. (AdiS, I really hope you don't mind my posting yours here? I can remove it if you do).
