It is almost 2020 and as 2019 draws to a conclusion I am wondering what events/experiences/things PSers are looking forward/not looking forward to in 2020?

My eldest daughter's wedding at the end of September is going to take up most of the year. It's a lot of fun! It is a very small wedding at an antique hotel. About 40 people, in the library of the hotel. So excited.

Congratulations @lyra! It sounds beautiful!

I shall reach the age when I can start tapping into my pensions, and have a few things in mind, such as:
* Getting a campervan so that I could go camping again as I cannot put a big tent up on my own anymore
* Losing more weight due to health reasons
* Finally setting my mum's near 2ct MRB
* Sorting out the jungle that is my garden

DK :))

So exciting @lyra ! Sounds like it will be incredibly memorable!

@dk168 that all sounds admirable and something to look forward to indeed. Good luck!

Missy, I hope 2020 is an very good year for you and Greg, filled with health and happiness. You have had quite a year in 2019 and I very much hope for a better year coming up. Big hugs.

I started a post to this question and frankly I just sounded so whiney to myself that I had to delete it.

Here is to hoping we all have good things to report at the end of 2020!

Thank you so much @luv2sparkle. I am sending big hugs and good vibes your way and hope that 2020 brings much happiness and joy and peace to you as well. And a bit of bling would be icing on the proverbial cake so some of that too. XO.

And re whining and all well if it makes you feel better I say go for it and vent and if it will not make you feel better than go ahead and skip it. But you are among friends and I don't consider it whining as much as venting. I hope that makes sense.

What I am looking forward to in the coming year is hopefully peace and joy and less health issues for us and the kitties. Of course we have little control over this but it is just what I am hoping for.

As challenging as 2019 was it could have been worse and I am grateful for all the good we do have in our lives. I really cannot complain. I have my family and some amazing friends and for the most part we have our health. And we got the cats through RW gate. Praying they stay RW free.

So yeah, despite a lot of challenges (starting with our darling girl Francesca's LCL diagnosis and death) we also have a lot of good to be thankful for and for that I am thankful.

They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And that aging isn't for sissies. True dat.

@missy I did notice that 2019 wouldn't have been the easiest year for you, here's to hoping that 2020 is nothing but up and up for you and Greg =)2

For us, 2019 started off pretty rough with my father still living with us after seven months and my mother getting admitted into mental health care after getting admitted just after Xmas last year. Finn was on the way obviously but it felt like things were kinda crumbling, then the car crash happened in May and I was a bit of a mess for the next 6 weeks until Finn was born.
We're finishing off 2019 strongly though; Finn has arrived, my parents are both back on their feet and independent and I've been able to reconcile the events around the crash.

Going into 2020, we're as focused as ever and we're looking to buy our first family home. We've been trying to close in on a place by the water and boat ramp here but unfortunately the deal with the owner has not been easy and we've not gotten anywhere with it, so here's to hoping that we can have some paperwork signed early in the new year!

@missy Wishing you, Greg & the kitties lots of health for 2020!

For me, 2019 has been kind. My family have all stayed healthy, happy & doing well.

For 2020 I am hoping for more of the same. My eldest daughter gets allocated her High School in March, which is quite stressful & I have everything crossed that she has been awarded a place at the one she wants, and then settling her in next Sept feels quite daunting. She is shy & anxious despite extreme intelligence, and we really need her to find friends & feel comfy quickly. Her best friend is going to a private school many miles away & they are joined at the hip, so I'm hoping they will keep in touch away from school. Urgh! Kids are such a worry!

And I actually feel quite pathetic that the above is my biggest headache for 2020, when others have so much going on in their lives.

Maybe a baby! I'm getting to the age (for me anyway) where I am either going to be "one and done" or have one more. I'm giving myself until my birthday in November. We'll see!

My calisthenics team and I (a competitive team dance sport) have entered the 2020 Pan Pacific Masters Games. We competed in 2018 and won a bronze and a silver medal, and it was the absolute time of our lives. It was so much fun being away for a week just with my teamies, and the other teams were super friendly. I can't wait to do it again!

I am glad things are going smoothly for you and your family Jordon. What starts out rough and ends smooth is a blessing indeed. And life is filled with ups and downs and happy and sad and easy and challenging. That is life. The older I get the more I get it and accept the facts. Enjoy the sweet and rally strong re the challenges.

Thank you dear @Alex T. I am glad 2019 was a good one for you and hope 2020 will continue along the same path. Having children is one of the biggest challenges in life and you are doing it with such grace and love and your kids are very lucky indeed. As are you. I wish for both your children and you and your dh much happiness and health. Sending love across the many miles dear friend. XO.

Wishing you all the best in 2020. May Melanie go into remission and may Gary do well health and other wise and may you find your dream job. Daisy dear. (((Hugs))).

That *is* very exciting and truly a new beginning. Wishing you an easy and healthy pregnancy @Tacori E-ring and a very happy and healthy baby to be. :appl:

I'm looking forward to leaving 2019 once and for all. It was a horribly, horrendous year with only a couple bright spots. 2020 has to be better. It just has to.

I’ve been in a deep depression for three years. I’m currently having TMS and after about 15 sessions, I’m starting to feel human again! I have 20 to go and I’m really hopeful for what the full results will bring.

For 2020, i’m looking forward to getting my life back.

I might be going to college. Never attended because I went straight to work in insurance. Now though it seems it may be the only option to get a decent job after being home with the kids for so long. We shall see...
