Hi guys! I just came across this YouTube show (the channel is called Gobble) - the show is called Bazaar Travels (Bazaar is the Hindi word for market) and it has this woman exploring famous bazaars and stores in some iconic shopping destinations in India. Each episode is around 15 min and there are only four episodes as of now.

Episode 1 is Jodhpur (which focuses more on textiles, rugs, antiques, street style shopping); episode 2 is Kolkata (which again has more street style stores, books, and one cool store with silver jewellery). Episode 3 is Delhi, which has some GORGEOUS lehengas and traditional bling; and episode 4 is Jaipur, which is India's bling capital so you can imagine how stunning the bling and clothes are in that episode.

Episodes are in a mix of Hindi and English but it has full English subtitles so its easy to follow. Prices if mentioned are given in INR (Which converts to USD at a rough rate of INR 73-75 to 1USD). If you get confused about 'lakhs' and 'crores', 1Lakh = 100,000 and 1Crore = 10,000,000. Its just the Indian numbering system.

Hope you enjoy!

Thank you @AllAboardTheBlingTrain !!

I wish I'd had that info 7 years ago when I went to India!!! I tried to research before, but it's nearly impossible and so we had to rely on Info from the local guides (they evidently only want their commission) and Vogue & harpers bazaar India and the likes (super overpriced)

You’re very welcome! To be honest, I also learned a lot about these cities from watching the videos! I’m familiar with some of the places they mention but not all of them.

The best bet is definitely to ask locals but it can be really hard if you’re a tourist, because all the guides are paid to give their recommendations. Though nowadays there are websites and YT videos etc you can hit up for recommendations, 7 years ago it would’ve been hard. Still, next time you come you’ll know where to go! :D
