I''m a loooooooooooong-time reader to PS without posting because I''ve been trying to soak up the diamond knowledge as I''ll be proposing in the next month or so. Along the way, I''ve learned more than I probably care to, but I still need some help.

I know many on here prefer WF and GOG, but I''ve found a ring I really like on BlueNile, as it seems to have the right combo of the 4 C''s for me.

The Holloway Cut Advisor, based on its stats, rates it at a 0.9-Excellent.

Here''s the ring:

As you can probably tell by the rock, having a smaller stone with a higher-quality cut, color, etc., fits more with what I have in mind (with a budget of about ~7k). I''m a bit of a perfectionist, and she''s really little (like 5'', 105 lbs, haha), so the smaller, higher quality stone won''t look AS small. Any suggestions as to the above or any reason not to use BN?

Also, I''ve only been able to find this stone that fits my general idea of what I want, if anyone knows of/has seen others at other sites that are similar, please feel free to add.

TIA.

The diamond appears to be a nice stone, you may get some who would prefer a higher grade for symmetry, but that wouldn''t be a deal breaker for me. It has good proportions and is likely to be a pretty stone, so it could be a good choice!

I HATE the highlighted words, lol. I guess that's why WF and GOG are preferred? Because you see the actual stone?

I'm still scrounging the net relentlessly!

LOL! I always prefer to see an Idealscope, the numbers certainly indicate it could be a good stone, but as John Pollard aptly put it in a recent post, the numbers are a chalk outline! I don't want to say yes it will be stunning on a diamond I haven't seen, or have seen an IS of, if that makes sense, as that would be beyond my capabilites and wouldn't be responsible of me. WF and GOG usually supply IS images and detailed photos of the diamonds, as we are all about the cut here, these are so helpful when judging each diamond, without them it isn't as easy. BN don't supply these things to the best of my knowledge.

BN do have a good return policy which is great. But going by the numbers this diamond looks promising that it will be a good stone.

I really like this one as well from GOG, not sure how I missed it earlier....thoughts?

Definitely like this one, proven AGS0 performer and all the accompanying images. In case that is ever a consideration, you also have the upgrade policy for this diamond. Just check that it is eyeclean and you could be all set.

I really like both of those stones. I would probably check with the vendor which is more eyeclean than the other. If equally eyeclean, I would spend the extra few hundred and go for the F, just to stay in the colourless range.

Either will be a superb pick!

Ha - I missed the second one, it was added later! That also looks like a lovely stone, again check if eyeclean.
