I''m totally new at this engagement and diamond deal. Especially with the diamonds :] I am also new to this forum, so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place. We went to the jewelers today and I picked out a few rings/sets that I liked..but I''m not so sure about the price. I don''t want to spend an outrageous amount because to be honest, we can''t really afford it. The set that I have in mind is a Leo Diamond. I will post the general information about it. I just really want to know opinions and if you think it is worth the $4500. I don''t want to spend that much on something that I won''t be happy with in the end. This might seem like a stupid question to some, but I figured it was worth a try. You know you can''t always believe what the salesperson says. HERE is a link to the pics of it.

Hi Kookie,

The answer is that it is not worth it. You can do MUCH better within a $4500 budget.

For example, this stone, if eye-clean, will HANDS DOWN blow the Leo stone out of the water, it is .6mm bigger, and costs only $1740 after the pricescope discount.

There are a few G/VS2 and H/VS2 that I could suggest as well that are also bigger and in the $2500-$3000 range. That would still leave you with $1000-$1500 for a setting.

Please don't settle! You can get something in your budget that will be perfect. PSers are here to help!

If you get a stone at Whiteflash, you might like this setting (~$900 in White Gold) with this wedding band (~$900 in White Gold). So, you could add a $2500 stone in their for a total of around $4300, or you could get the $1750 stone and either go platinum with the setting/band or up the carat weight on the setting/band.

There are a ton of gorgeous stones that you can locate via this website that will be so much BETTER than the one you posted. Let the god folks here help ypou out and you will not be disappointed...
