Hi,

I've just got this new Tiffany solitaire and wanted to show it off. It's platinum, E, 0.22. I did wonder about the cost, but I decided it is exactly what I wanted. (I know BGD, Whiteflash etc carry this style but I've seen samples of those on friends and I like the Tiffany bezel and chain type best.) Believe me, I pondered at length! But for me personally, this is the ultimate classic everyday necklace and I plan to wear it almost all the time. I also think it's something I will wear for many, many years. I've loved this style for the last 15 years and I had a crappy tiny diamond solitaire which cost about $200, which I've replaced with this.

I had Tiffany source an Si1, which meant that the pendant cost $1610 instead of $1840 (which is the pre-tax price of a 0.22 E VS1.) With tax I paid $1710.

It's a LOT of money for something so small. But I'm very satisfied - to me, it's a dream everyday piece.

Hope you like it!

LOVELY!! Enjoy it and wear it in good health!!!!! :appl:

Gosh, no need to go to such lengths to justify it! You made an educated decision and what you chose makes you very happy, doesn't really get better than that ::)

It's beautiful and very classic! And awesome that Tiffs sourced an SI for you :appl:

Thanks both!

The justification is down to guilt! It is a lot of money for a wee thing - but I really love it.

Yes, it was great to get an Si1 and that really sealed the deal. It saved me almost $250. The SA said that they didn't have many Si1s - in fact, this one came from a store 3,000 miles away from where I live! I'm glad I was able to get it.

Once upon a time my ILs and I went to Tiffany and I tried on a pair of baby bezel earrings I'd seen online. I loved them and vowed to save up for the WF version... they had different plans and bought them for me. I know other vendors have essentially the same thing for a lot less, and I'm not generally one for branding, but I'll be the first to admit that I get a certain enjoyment just from the fact that they're from Tiffany, even if noone else knows! And, of course, there's the fact that they're a gift from people very dear to me ::)

Guilt... nah. Enjoy your new pendant for everything it is!

Enjoy it! Its beautiful and lovely and it makes you happy - what more could you ask for from a diamond?? ;))

Can you indulge us in a neck shot? We love our pics on PS!!!

HI:

cheers--Sharon

That will look beautiful on, and will never go out of style. No guilt, just enjoyment!

This is so pretty I don't have a necklace but this so makes me want one!

Thanks all!

You know you've spent too much at Tiffany in the past year when they send you a Tiffany china mug for your birthday and a card saying "From your friends at Tiffany"!!! (It was my birthday Sunday and I just received the gift today!)

Oh, it's beautiful!! I would like to own a piece of Tiffany jewelry someday too - this is such a timeless and classic piece, I love it!

Thanks!

I tried to get neckshots but I just couldn't get the camera to focus.

Belated Happy Birthday wishes, JanesJewels! I hope the 14th was a great day for you --- and that you had a lot of your Tiffany bling on!

Thanks everyone!

And thanks for the birthday wishes, Enerchi!

You know what - the guilt I felt has evaporated. I just can't believe I have this beautiful piece. Totally the right decision. Hmm...amazing how quickly that went away! I like Yssie's attitude: "Guilt...nah." Very funny!
