Hi,
I've just got this new Tiffany solitaire and wanted to show it off. It's platinum, E, 0.22. I did wonder about the cost, but I decided it is exactly what I wanted. (I know BGD, Whiteflash etc carry this style but I've seen samples of those on friends and I like the Tiffany bezel and chain type best.) Believe me, I pondered at length! But for me personally, this is the ultimate classic everyday necklace and I plan to wear it almost all the time. I also think it's something I will wear for many, many years. I've loved this style for the last 15 years and I had a crappy tiny diamond solitaire which cost about $200, which I've replaced with this.
I had Tiffany source an Si1, which meant that the pendant cost $1610 instead of $1840 (which is the pre-tax price of a 0.22 E VS1.) With tax I paid $1710.
It's a LOT of money for something so small. But I'm very satisfied - to me, it's a dream everyday piece.
Hope you like it!
