New silver setting from Caroline Henry (Etsy)

I have had this 1,25ct purple spinel for ages and have finally gotten round to setting it. It was bought from Art Cut Gems. I found a lovely lady on Etsy who does gorgeous bezel settings.

It will arrive here next week then I can post handshots.. before I reluctantly wrap it up for my daughter's birthday

This is what Caroline wrote about my stone...

''Your ring is ready and I have to tell you that your stone has alot of character !!! Once I put it into this bezel setting it slightly darkened and started reflecting alot of beautiful colors. Pink, purple and pinky orange ! Very beautiful. Also it is very sparkly due to the fact that it is a nice clean stone and well cut !!!

I am sending a few pics for you. It looks better in real life but I wanted you to see the outline of the finished piece''

Oooo, I almost went with a setting like that for my tourmaline, but the closed back bezel made me nervous.. Does it bug you at all that you can''t get to the back of the stone?

It doesn''t bother me that I won''t be able to get to the back of the stone. I chose the setting because I thought it would be the safest setting for my 17 year old''s first proper gemstone ring

I don''t know what pod rings are but I know Caroline does make stacking rings. You can find her by searching for chenry under sellers on etsy.com
