Hi their,

I want to buy a new setting for my diamond.

I have the ''trellis'' setting but want a thiner more dainty look.

I live in the UK so vendors have to be willing to mail internationally.

I like this type of setting http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/settings-with-sidestones/2-2mm-0-54ctw-Common-Prong-Ring.html

However, I would like it in palladium.

My present setting is palladium and I''m very happy with it.

It''s not as shiney as white gold and does get quite dull but polishes up well with metal polish in my vibrating tumbler (and before you come to the wrong conclusion that''s a piece of jewelery kit).

However James Allen have told me that it isn''t available in palladium.

I would buy white gold but am worried re yellowing - although it hasn''t happened to me yet.

Does any other vender sell a similar setting in palladium?

Thanks

I would check with Since1910.com. I know Verragio and Diana offer palladium. Many vendors can order stock settings in palladium.

I have the 1.9 mm version of that setting and love it. I''ve had it for about a year now and it hasn''t gotten yellow at all (in white gold), though I think that depends on your particular skin chemistry too. Do you normally have problems with white gold yellowing? If not, you may have no problems with it at all.

Whiteflash has this ring and although I only see a white gold option, they might be able to make it in palladium - might be worth asking.

You could also e-mail a few other vendors, Wink and Brian Gavin, to see what they have.

Thanks for your reply.

Love your kittens.

We''ve just lost our 2 bengal boys, one went missing and one pts within the last months.

They were quite old - 16.

I have several white gold items and have never had yellowing. My studs and necklace are very rarely taken off.

And I wouln''t be wearing the ring 24/7.

Maybe I should consider the gold setting.
