New question about setting

I am still pondering over the setting for my CC garnet. Yesterday I came to a conclusion that a golden bypass ring was probably the best option. Because fancier settings would actually block the light entering the stone.

Today, however, I saw this ring by kboggs315 (it is in the irradiated diamond thread) and thought, this is exactly what it should be! Because the daytime color of my garnet seems to be like her irradiated diamond!

Any idea how to find her? SHe doesn't seem to post on CS forum. There were about two postings done by her, the lastest one in 2009 so I do not know how to find her. She posted on Rocky Talky but is it appropriate to pull out an old string?

Or maybe someone can give me an idea about a really nice bypass setting? The ones I saw in stores I did not like, although this is how I came up with an idea, and the ones online are too expensive. I do not want to pay $ 2 K for a pure gold ring.

Her ring is a tension setting, which is great for a diamond but I''m not sure a garnet will withstand the pressure.

Agreed. From the sound of it, she may no longer be around on the forums as well.
