New purchase

after shopping for three weeks we made our decision today on the diamond. we paid total tax included for $7450.
We were looking for quality not size on the diamond. For the ring we wanted simple with nothing sticking out.
We stayed under budget ($8000). Did we make the right decision on the Diamond? could some of you experts show a lending hand please?

Just as I woke up this morning, I realized he just got me a ring. I remember how calm I was yesterday it was all about the facts but today. I woke up in tears looking at him. I am going to be married. A bride and wife next month. I will be waking up next to him for the rest of my life and loving it. watch him grow wrinkle and old. we will be growing together. the ring was important. I didn''t believe in the ''symbolization'' of it at the beginning. I do now. It''s not about the result. It was the entire process to the result. (we won''t see the result until Oct. 10) The entire process from study about diamond, searching around, finding you guys really is a wonderful experience. He has been so busy at work. He even have to go in to work today but he make sure he take me to look yesterday. Looking at him exam the diamond. the ring. asking the questions. I am so glad he kept me involve in the process. watching him caring and worrying about me is unbelieveable. This is my first diamond ring. besides my mother, nobody ever gone thru so much trouble to make sure I am taking care of. I love this man. I am so proud of him

Give G&A the barnd the price is no surprise at all - and probably deserved. I do not know anything about the 'DeBeer' diamond cut brand? Just know the rings... You can easily run a price comparison on the database here and elsewhere on the net - you will likely be pleasantly surprised.

Regardless, I read your second post twice - it sounds like nothing is lacking from the picture and it would still be perfect with a piece of wire for a ring.
