I posted in a different post asking people opinions on the diamond I put a deposit on last saturday but didn''t provide enough info. After talking to my jeweler today I got the report number and here are all of the report specs from the EGL USA website:

Weight- .74CT
Shape- Round Brilliant
Color- E
Clarity- SI2
Measurements- 5.91 x 5.85 x 3.54
Depth- 60.2%
Table- 58%
Crown- 14.3%
Pavilion- 43%
Crown Angle- 34
Pavilion Angle- 40.8
Girdle- Thin to Medium Faceted
Polish- Excellent
Symmetry- Excellent
Flourescence- None
Culet- None
Cut Grade- Ideal Plus
UGS Appraisal Value- $6050
Price- $2200

I asked what the inclusion I saw under the loop was and he said it''s a feather and he is emailing me the report as an attachment today so I can review it. Tommorrow, when I pick out my setting, I will ask to see the actual report...turns out he has it in-house So now that you all have the specs what is everyone''s opinion? My jeweler thinks EGL USA is reputable (of course he''ll say that haha) but he says he would never sell or accept any diamond from EGL international. My particular diamond was graded by EGL USA in Los Angeles which he feels is one of the most reputable locations.

Thank you for all comments and suggestions!

It shows promise Holly, I would still recommend you make the sale final on an independant appraisal to make sure the diamond checks out. I would also still want to know what the grade making inclusions are such as clouds, feathers etc - this will be noted on the full report.

What Miss Lorelei said. And I hope it checks out for you!

Looks good so far.

Here is the report that was sent to me by the jeweler through email as an attachment. I do not see where it notes the main reasons for the clarity grade. I know that the diamond at least has a feather which I noticed looking under 10X. I have attached the certificate to this post but I had to make it kind of small to fit it...hope this has the info you all need ;)

Can''t make up anything. But it does not look like EGL USA has a clarity plot. The table and pavilion view is too clean from what I can see, those are usually where the inclusions are plotted, unless you have clean them up with the compression of the image.

Well, I did call EGL USA LA to ask if the clarity plot should be on the certificate and she said yes. My guess is that it''s light and, therefore, did not make it when my jeweler scanned it onto his computer. I will definitely look at the actual certificate in person tomorrow and let everyone know what the inclusions are.

EGL USA should have a plotting diagram....Maybe thats it that it didn''t scan properly.

Thats what I was thinking.
