Hi everyone,

I showed a sneak peek of this ring over on CS, but figured I'd go ahead and dedicate a thread for it here. Hope you all like him!

David and Amy did a fabulous job, as always. While I'm not usually a fan of elaborate prongwork, I wanted something with milgrain detail to harken back to the diamond bezeling (and I did not want to bezel the garnet). So I came up with split claw prongs, and I think it turned out well! Went for the bezeled, invisible set diamonds rather than the standard prong set 5-stone design. Trying not to outright copy endlesssummer's mint ring (that I've been drooling over for years). lol

Merelani mint garnet weighing just under 4.5ct
Measures around 12x7mm

Platinum 950
F, VS1 diamonds weighing 0.90ctw
Size 6

Thanks, ladies! I must say, even though the stone is a decent size (around 12x7mm), I'm so used to giant halos, that this guy looks tiny in comparison. Or maybe it's because I'm a bloated mess at the moment. lol

Once again, you have hit out of the park. I love the prongs, and that the garnet is the star of the show. You have a real talent for designing a ring that shows a stone in it’s best light.
