In the last year or so, I have been mesmerized by the blue zircons on here, and I've always wanted a stone from Jeff White, so when this beauty popped up today, I decided it was meant to be. He said the stone is from Nigeria and is lighter than many, which I know may not be everyone's favorite, but I LOVE the color. I hope to set it as a ring, with diamond side stones...I'm super excited! Blue Zircon.jpg

That is one stunning Zircon:love: and I love the lighter color. And the cut is beautiful. It is going to look amazing in a ring. Cannot wait to see it on you.
Congratulations.:appl:

Was this the one he posted on Instagram? I saw that and was in love...and also surprised it hadn't sold already. :kiss2: Any ideas on what you'll do with it?

Thank you missy! I'm very excited - I've wanted a stone of his for a long time (since neat freak's steel blue asscher sapphire), and I love his asscher cuts. I hope it's not too small for my big hands, but lately I've been liking smaller stones anyway.

Elle, I think so! I saw it on FB, but I'm sure it was the same. I hope to set it in a 3 stone ring, possibly with trillion side stones, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Beautiful color and zircons have such amazing sparkle. Lucky lady! :appl:

Love it! I love the asscher cut. It’s going to be beautiful in the ring you are planning.

Very nice stone, love the windmill effect. Take lots of pics when you get it.

Congrats! It’s a stunning cut and colour.
What are the dimensions? You could also add a halo if you indeed find it small on your hand. Looking forward to see your handshots.

Gorgeous stone!!!! Can't wait to see how you set it!!!

Beautiful!!! Congrats

Acinom it's 6.8 mm, which I think is a pretty good size - I hope it's big enough to allow the cut to be seen. I don't think I'll halo it, only because I plan to wear it on special occasions with my eternity band (which was my engagement ring).

Here are the two rings that I had saved for inspiration - dearbudda's blue diamond e-ring and whoever the lucky person is that owns this blue zircon three stone. I saw this blue zircon on here, and I would go back to it frequently, just loving the glowing color of the stone. I decided I would start looking for one soon, and then THAT popped up on Facebook yesterday. Well, I figured it was meant to be!

Thanks everyone - this is going to be a celebration ring!

When we originally got engaged, money was REALLY tight, and we couldn't afford a traditional engagement ring. We chose an eternity band instead, because I'd always wanted one as a wedding band, so I figured it could suffice for both. I LOVE my ring, and to this day I know I made the perfect choice for me. We always said when things improved financially, I could add a three stone to my band to make a nice set.

I work primarily in real estate and I got married in 2009 - if you remember the recession, you know that there was no money at all. Not only did my income get cut by about 80%, but I was also invested in a piece of property (buildable land) that was upside down in equity, since I bought at the top of the market. I carried that property for over 10 years, and was FINALLY able to sell it in September 2017 (at a loss, but WHO CARES)!!! I lived in a tiny condo, which I am also selling, to make up the difference/loss on the vacant land. I have had my condo listed for sale for 9-10 months and we are finally UNDER CONTRACT!!!

I had been thinking about purchasing something to commemorate the end of this very long road we've been on, when this popped up yesterday. I don't want to jinx the sale of my condo, but it was a great price and I've always wanted an asscher cut from Jeff White, so I pulled the trigger. It's been a long time since I was able to buy something just because I love it -- my husband has a much easier time spending than I do. It's almost like I have PTSD when it comes to money and spending.

If your still reading, thank you! Here's a picture of my engagement ring. I can't wait to see the zircon in person!!!

Violet I think the zircon in a three stone will look amazing with your wedding band.

My Asscher zircon from Jeff Davies has about the same size (7 mm) and it’s a great size to distinguish the Asscher cut.

Love your inspiration pics!!!

My goodness Acinom, you have the greatest collection! That is gorgeous!!!

I'm super excited about your new zircon. I saw it on his IG and figured it wouldn't last long. Congrats!

Just wanted to chime in and say the three stone (emerald cut) zircon you posted above belongs to our own @mochiko42. :)

Thank you @SparkliesLuver! I couldn't remember Mochiko42's name - I think her ring is my favorite I've ever seen on here. I was originally looking for a sapphire when I came here in 2007 - I thought that's what I wanted for my engagement ring. But after I saw her ring, my heart just sang at that beautiful color. I'm not planning to wear this every day, so I thought it would be a nice "special occasion" addition to my hand. I'm super excited

crescent_trapezoids_diamond_side_stones_leon_mege.png I do think these side stones would be ideal, but I'm pretty sure I'd have to wait a long time to be able to afford to set the stone...still, I really love these.

Grats. Just remember to treat it with lots of care.

I was hoping that someone would call out @mochiko42 on her beautiful ring.

@violet3 your stone is gorgeous!!

Thank you for mentioning her name - I could not remember! I love her ring - maybe she could just sell hers to me and I could be done

Thank you - I will! I already sent him an email asking how gentle I needed to be with it, as I've seen many threads indicating that the stone is prone to fractures/chipping.

The original stone looks really nice, as do the inspiration photos. The third photo, the daylight one, has a really beautiful color too.

Gorgeous and it will be perfect with your band!!

It's a lovely colour and cut, thanks for sharing.
As for side stones, I had a custom pair of step cut Morganite traps cut by JW to go with my EC Aqua from him. As the traps are quite big, the pair ended up costing more than the Aqua, however still a lot cheaper than diamonds!
Here are the pics of the traps, main stone and ring setting inspiration.

Another one, all stones cut by Doug Menadue, natural blue Topaz and white Topaz traps (2 on each side).

Oh wow!!! Thank you for sharing those beautiful photos!!! Perhaps I'll try to get him to source something for the sidetones for me.

CONGRATS! Jewelry is a great way to celebrate getting through tough times.

VERY nice looking stone. :D

I’m an awful photographer, but here’s what I took with my phone. I was concerned it would be too small to stand up to my eternity band, but it looks just perfect to me . It’s very hard to capture the light performance of this little stone, but it is super SPARKLY!!! Jeff white couldn’t ne nicer or more prompt with his services - it even came with a little thank you card.
