some of you may remember me posting my first invite samples from momental designs. we liked them, but i was curious about how they''d look if she lightened them up a bit, maybe with some aqua or whatever. here''s the new sample she did for us.
Ooh...that''s a tough one, as I really like both. I think it depends what the overall feel is that you are going for.
I think the top, lighter one is just that - lighter in feeling as well as color. If you are having a summer or spring wedding, with lots of light/bright colors, then I think the top one is a better fit.
On the other hand, the bottom one has a richer feel, more dimensional and (IMO) more sophisticated. So if you are having an evening wedding, or a fall or winter wedding, with darker colors or a more sophisticated feel, then I would do that one.
Does that help at all?
For what its worth, I think they are both beautiful, and I think either one will be lovely and special
I totally agree with Amber and think it depends on what season and what ''type'' of wedding you will be having. I like both-the top does have a ''lighter'' feeling to it.
That being said-I am obsessed with her designs and I will DEFINITELY be using her when I get married!
Although I like both, I think the top one is more "fresh" looking, and the bottom may be more appropriate for a fall wedding. That said, I do prefer the top one, date twin!!
yeah, i''m leaning toward the newest ones, too, but i think i''d like the purple flowers a bit darker. our wedding colors are basically an old navy bag--royal blue, aqua, eggplant, and lime. not exactly fall colors, but then in georgia, october is still one BILLION degrees, so it doesn''t feel like fall here!
blair138--you''ll LOVE working with her, too. she''s sooooo laid back and sweet! i can''t say anything but good things about her!
even though dark blue is also my wedding color, I have to go with the 1st one. I don''t like the "yellowish" paper in the 2nd one. but that''s just me.
noel, i totally agree--the blue paper is the exact same color in both invites, but somehow the ivory layer mutes the vibrant colors whereas the solid white makes them pop...or at least, that''s the case to me...maybe i''m nutty, haha!
