Hi everyone! I''m new here - well, I''ve lurked for a couple of months, so maybe new isn''t the best word - with a question.
My bf and I have been talking about e-rings, and I''ve found a design that I absolutely adore, below. I don''t like to wear jewellery outside of earrings and the occasional bracelet for a nice dinner, though I''m young yet so that might change . Budget isn''t a concern, and I''m not really comfortable with the idea of upgrading later (I''m sentimental to the extreme)
Bf will be getting the stones separately, probably from bluenile.
I''ve got a size 3.75-4, long finger. I LOVE the look of a graduated five-stone RB ring, and I won''t be wearing a wedding band so I don''t have to worry about too much ring or bling, if that''s even possible! I tried on a few designs with five stones at a jewellery store a while ago, and one problem I ran into was that sometimes all five just didn''t look look like they FIT over the top of my finger (apparently this b&m, Smyth, stocked 6s and 7s). I don''t want a big centre stone - definitely under a carat. I found a graduated diamond picture and a bunch of charts (thankyou PSers!) and, despite everything else I really should''ve been doing, scaled them down by mm, cut out the results, pasted them onto a ring of paper...
.15-.33-.75-.33-.15 or .15-.26-.65-.26-.15. Until we can make it out to another store, which won''t be soon :-\ what do you think? How would those sizes look - and do you think they''d all fit without digging into the sides of my next fingers? I really prefer the look of the .75 ct as the centre, and I wouldn''t want to go under .6... might it be better to go with a three-stone?
Thanks everyone!!
