I love this forum! I stumbled across it during my recent ring search and have been lurking ever since. I thought it was time for a proper hello! I have been with my FI for about 10 years, engaged for about 5. Recently we set a wedding date for this October, and I am in the middle of the planning process. So far, I have all my major vendors booked
When we started shopping for my wedding ring, one thing led to another and I somehow convinced my loving FI that an upgrade to my diamond was due -- sneaky sneaky
....So - that is how I found PS! We purchased a stone from a jeweler who is a friend of a friend and I am one of those few instances where it worked out wonderfully. I credit that mostly to all the vast knowledge on PS making me so much more informed about diamonds, quality and craftsmanship. I am really happy with our purchase! We are financing the rings because it was a hung unexpected financial commitment, so I won''t have my baby until this summer. In the meantime - I took some pics to hold myself over and to share with PS because you all are were a huge help even though you didn''t even know it! So - I will attempt to post some pics for you. Recently I have been stressing out about it - especially at night when I am trying to sleep. I love the dress, but sometimes I don''t feel like it is really me. I always pictured something a little more flow-y and airy, which it is not. However, when I tried on dresses this one just spoke to me because it seemed elegant and sophisticated and timeless - and that is really more my style. If I were on sex in the city i would probably be like Charlotte (only in the fashion department though - LOL). Anyway - any feedback would be appreciated on the dress as I am on the verge of becoming a two dress bride unless I can calm myself down some
