Anyone get anything?

I've been planning on getting a oec diamond pendant...but a colorless grossular garnet seems so much more 'me' while still having somewhat of the look of a diamond pendant (that is to say, it goes with everything). I sent an inquiry, so I guess we'll see if it's already been scooped up yet.

Anybody out there get anything or thinking about it?

Very pretty stones MTG and Vapid! I didn't buy anything but I thought the sphene, peridot, and tourmalines were nice too.

Do you think with a Mohs of 7-7.5 is ok for a frequent-wear pendant?

Most of what I liked went fast, the rest of what I liked was too expensive after we just had to put in a new HVAC system, ugh. Liked the mint-hued peridot except for the bowtie.

Both stones are so-o cool!

MTG - I think it is more than fine for a frequently-wear pendant. I would combine it with a red pyrope or a rhodolite. Uli has something on ebay, but the cut would not match your stone. Perhaps he has something else in stock or could cut something out for you? Barry also has tons of garnets, it is just a question of matching colors. If anyone could find an anthill garnet of a large size (sigh) it could be a stunning combination.

Too bad! I liked a lot of stuff this time around. The only one I seriously considered picking up was the mint peridot, though.

I really wanted the Mozambique tourmaline, but it was gone by the time I contacted him at 12:45...

There were a LOT of nice stones today. The one that tempted me most was the sphene and I almost bought it, but I'm trying to save pennies.

MTG, I hope you got your stone!

They were all beautiful, but the ones I liked were collectors' stones so I passed on them. I sent an e-mail about an opal but did not get any answer so I presume someone else got it. But since I bought a beautiful cherry opal from Barry, and Uli is still selling some on ebay, I shall not cry and patiently wait for the next drop.
