Everyone- meet Petey!




Petey is a Parrolet. One of the smallest psittacine family.
She's tiny, but she's a full sized parrot in terms of personality.
She's about 8 weeks old- having been hand fed till she was weaned about 2 weeks ago.

I love it that she's all parrot- but takes up a lot less space, makes much less mess, and very importantly- much less noise than many other parrot species.

RD, I can't have any birds because my husband is deathly allergic. I forced a cockatiel on him before we even had kids, and it was horrible for him, lol. Otherwise, I'd definitely have a small bird. I have such an affinity with birds. I make do with wild ones in our yard, but this year we got Blue Jays in our pine trees and they scared all the small birds away.
