this is what I was thinking and want some feedback on:

round
0.73ct
F color
ideal cut
SI2 clarity

looks very nice but what if I move the carat size down to say a 0.6ish and the clarity up to a VS1 or 2 and color down to a G? do you think there would there be a big price difference and noticeable look to it? or should I keep my criteria I have above there?

The existing ring is a kirk kara antique style with a lot of design in it

just looking for suggestions please and thankyou

Derek

cut G/H SI1 whats your burget and how big a stone will the setting hold.

a jeweler told me the smallest the ring will hold 0.5ct and my budget is around the $3K mark

thanks I will take a look at the G but what do you think about bumping up the clarity?

edit: sorry I just saw that one in the link is a VVS2. that thing is gorgeous!

that ring at JA does look nice and gets a 1.4 on the HCA tool. https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

You could get it reserved and request an idealscope as well as 2 other diamonds from their site where a gemological expert will provide feedback on them all for you.
