New Cushion Cut: Opinions please?

Hey everyone

Been discussing engagement ring specs with a jeweler online. I just received this loose stone to consider and I was hoping the community could share their thoughts on it.

Apologize in advance for the photos I've only got my iphone. Doesn't seem to really do it justice especially in natural light.

Pictures are much too far away and also fuzzy. Can you take better close ups with crisper images? I'm also not crazy about the thick girdle, which is hiding weight.
