I FINALLY got it in after 3 weeks.
(on the top left) .55cts, nice med green blue color, eye clean (I am super picky about inclusions in my emeralds). Has slight traces of oil.
It is about 2 shades darker and more saturated then my other colombian .8cts (top right). And then as a contrast my nambian emerald .33cts. Its amazing the color difference between nambian and colombian.

Maybe it's your pictures but I prefer the richness of your Namibian, even though it doesn't have as much blue.

I totally agree, Its a perfect green (doesnt show any black IRL). But it doesnt have the bluish glow the colombians do.

While the tone on the bottom one is what is preferred in the trade, it's a bit on the yellowish side of green (others may see a pure green) for me. I prefer the bluish secondary of the lighter ones, while they are not the ideal tone. Nice emeralds. :))

Lovely emeralds!!

I would take them all!

Well knowing how hard it is to photograph green properly I would say that your Colombians knock spots off the Zambian. In my experience Zambians (in real life) tend to be dark and more yellow rather than the blue/green of a good Colombian. I love your new stone and it actually looks similar in size to the larger one.

yes it is hard to capture green in emeralds. For some reason my camera and scope only want to pick up the undertones.

The new emerald faces up much larger then .55. Dont know why, because its not windowed or anything. I like the green of the nambians, but the blue glow of colombians. If only they could find a hybred mine where the stones are nambian green/clarity but have that blue glow!!

hey hugger..you keep saying namibian..is it a namibian or a zambian emerald?

Uhhhh.....I always thought nambian...but now I am not sure...LOL

Lovely! Personally I prefer the colombian emeralds- love that blue/green glow!
