From the information you provide, there''s nothing I can see to raise an objection about this stone. I happen to prefer emerald cuts around that L/W ratio. Looks like you''ve located a good one. But of course, the proof is in actually seeing the stone. Keep us updated!

I have no problem with the price. By the way, nice stones in that carat range are a bit harder to come by.

great - thank you so much for your advice. this is really harder than i thought. i will be putting it in a martin flyer setting.

any sites you can recommend that show the actual size of a 1.74 EC? just wondering how it compares to a 1.5 and a 2.0. dont want the setting to overpower the center stone. the setting is on my other posts. i tried to copy it here but i couldnt.
