I am looking for a princess cut diamond between .70 ct and .99 ct. The cut is the most important to me but I want the other specs to be high quality too. I have found this one but I am kind of new at searching for diamonds. Thanks for any help!

If there are problems with the one above what are they so I can learn more.
Another question I have is should I have them set the stone in a ring or use a local place and puchase the ring locally.

I''m not so hot on that diamond to be honest.

Hopefully a Princess expert can chime in and perhaps give you suggestions.

Online vendors are very capable of producing quality settings. It is better to get the setting by the same vendor because the diamond is insured during setting (in case it gets chipped etc).

Good luck!

I''m very partial to whiteflash (because they do the selection for you! :D)

Here is one http://www.whiteflash.com/aca_princess/Whiteflash-ACA-Princess-cut-diamond-118535.htm#

It is nearly colourless (so not icy white) but if you set it in white gold or platinum, it would look superb! It is a very good looking stone IMO

Request ASET/IS images. It would help us help you

I''m liking the second JA stone much better than the first. You can request Idealscope images for up to three stones from James Allen.

What is your budget for the diamond and what range of color and clarity are you willing to consider? Both the JA diamonds are very high in both color and clarity. That is fine, some people really want that for various reasons. Just so you know that you are paying quite a premium for both. If your goal is just to have a very white diamond that is eye-clean, you could easily drop some in both color and clarity to gain size.

Let us know what your requirements are and we can help you search.

I am trying to find an engagement diamond. This is what I was given to go on, haha. She would like a princess cut diamond. She would like minimum .70 ct. but thinks a full carat diamond looks too big for her small fingers (she’s on 4ft 10in tall). So if I am getting away with a smaller diamond than I thought I would, I would like it to be really nice. I guess I just want it to shine the best it can. I really need help. I am lost. I know I can get a better diamond cheaper online than going to Jared or Tiffany’s but I don’t really know what to look for.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

What is your budget?

I have $6,000 cash now but I can come up with more if needed. I can spend $10,000 without a problem but I don''t really want to for less than a carat diamond.

Cindy''s and Mrs. W''s suggestions look great (except I can''t see the last link that Mrs. W posted). I agree that the 2nd JA stone looks better than the first. You have a healthy budget and can afford a branded cut like the Whiteflash ACA or GOG signature stones in that carat weight.

Well done eagles, this one looks very promising!

The other suggestions look great too. If you prefer very high colour and clarity then by all means stick with it as it is a personal choice but if not you can drop both a bit and still have a very white, clean diamond if the cut is excellent.
