New asscher question

Ok great it's working. It's has 66.2 depth, 61 table, excellent polish and symmetry, 1.02 ratio, thick girdle. Thanks to all the experts.

Can you get an ASET image?

Unfortunately this is all they have for imaging.

not enough info.
Not seeing anything right off hand that says run but that's about all that can be said.

It's hard to judge by that video alone. It looks promising, but without seeing it at different angles (meaning up-down-left-right) or ASET images, you might be missing things.

FWIW, I have a video like that of mine and if I had only seen the video I would have been concerned about what looked like dark areas. IRL it lights up beautifully.

ETA: I tried to upload a video of it on my finger, showing all angles, but it apparently isn't in the right format. Sorry. If I get it figured out I'll add it.

It looks to be stepping all the way down close to the center. That's a good sign. I think it looks nice. Since you cant get an aset may
be the case where you need to order it and see it in person to decide.

I agree. Best to see it in person to confirm it performs to your liking in various lighting environments. The video is very promising. ;)2

Thank you, would love to see it. I think I might have to order this but it is over my budget so I am hesitating.

This is another option Karl_K, and it has a light return report. However, to me the cut seems out of the usual good proportions. Any thoughts on that?

Windmills don't go down to the center and a lot of dark zones over a long period of rotation in the moving image.
Just the windmills would move it into the off make category.

As far as the table and depth they are fine.
I didn't bother comparing the mm measurements but the 60.2% depth means it could have nice spread. Depth does not equal spread in step cuts so you have to look at the mm numbers.

Thank you for your input. I see what you mean. It does have a great spread.

Do you know why it gets such a positive light return report? I'm starting to realize I am terrible at choosing diamonds.

The white and blue image is a leakage test, the blue is similar to white in ASET white.
I doesn't have a lot of leakage face up, that does not make it a good one but it scores high on that test.

I see they changed the color, it used to be purple instead of blue.

So odd how they can call it a signature ideal in so many areas when clearly it is not a well cut asscher. The windmills alone!

Okay, I figured out a way to share it. I couldn't figure out how to mute the conversation though o_O. The password is PriceScope

It's beautiful!! Was it priced really really really low? Lol

Haha. That's Yekutiel talking. At that point, I don't remember which diamond he was talking about because we had three out and there's no telling with SO was doing/looking at while I was videoing!

Ok I have one more option. Sorry still no aset. I am hoping an asscher expert can compare this video to the first video and give an opinion. Down to the wire here on choosing one I think. Thanks to all thread watchers.

That looks promising to me - all the facets seem active, doesn't look like it's tilt-windowing, and the facets are all a nice size so aren't too large or too small. I think it's a strong contender but await those with better knowledge than me to confirm!

There is an inner ring of steps that the light does not seem to be walking through then it picks back up down near the center.

See if we can get Karl in for a comment.

I tend to agree with OoohShiny
I would like to see an ASET if available.
Does the strong blue cause any ill effects?
What makes me wonder if it does is the price is a bit lower than comps even taking into account the strong blue.
There is a chance of a pricing error also.
But if the price is correct and the strong blue isn't an issue and a decent return policy then..... well that's all I can say.

Thank you. This is 35% less than diamond number 1 and within budget. I guess I would have to check the fluorescence in person.

They should be able to give you an opinion before then but certainly check it in person.
I like strong blue and very strong blues as long as they don't get overly cloudy.
