New Aqua & Diamond Ring. :)

Hi everyone. I’m doing a happy dance today as the sun is finally out, and I get the chance to take pics of my long awaited new ring.

I bought the aqua from Tan a few years back, but until recently I’ve been too hesitant to set anything due to bad experiences attempting to set things before. Well, I was getting tired of my lovely stone not seeing daylight, so worked with one of the eBay vendors to make the mount.

It took over a month to arrive,(!) and then when I tried to get the stone set, that took another month as the setter took his time, which was kind of annoying.

At least now, the wait is over, and I’m totally in love! I’ve been wearing this around the town for the last couple of days and feel so over the top and fabulous, it’s great! So relieved everything worked out! Hope you guys like it too.

Lovely result, congratulation! I love the setting you chose. More classic than the regular halo you see often. And you are so patient. The whole thing would have driven me up the wall! A month to set the stone....what was he doing? Making the ring from scratch takes that much time jeez.

Thank you! Yeah, waiting for it was super annoying as my jeweller (and friend) kept telling me it would be done, but when I went down to pick it up she wouldn’t have it! You’re right though, having new sparklies always cheers you up!

Thanks! I really love the colour of the stone, so thought it needed something impressive.
My OH told me: “It looks like that heart thing from Titanic, in ring form...” Er, well not quite, but I’ll take the compliment lol! :p

I know what you mean. I sometimes check his shop, but it seems like there’s not much in terms of quality these days. It feels like there was a time when loads of us PSers would buy from him. Maybe he had more money for better stones back then!

You’re welcome! My aqua pear is about half the size of yours, but to me it looks way bigger than it’s carat weight. I know beryl has a low sg, but I wonder if the pear shape also contributes to how big it looks. Enjoy wearing your lovely ring!

It's gorgeous!! The stone is such a bright blue. Is it that way IRL? I love to see people walking around with beautiful rings on. You must be so proud! The diamonds are really white in the pics, they probably sparkle like crazy. Congratulations!
