Idealsvopes will help to determine how the stone performs

Agree with the above. Be careful with B2C, they have great prices, but if they cannot provide idealscope images it is very risky to blindly buy stones without great angle combinations.

There are plenty of vendors for almost the same price (or the exact same price per IDJs Best Price Program), can get you the same stone as listed on B2C with the service of providing the relevant images.

62.4 Depth is too deep for me.

What are some good angles, what is an ideal depth. If cut is listed as excellent then what type of depth should I expect?

Thank you all

most will probably say 60.8-61.5% depth. i for one wouldn't mind a little more depth if the stone had a taller crown with a smaller table .

Re: New and Need Some Quick Advice- Follow Up on a 1.4 CT

Hello Everyone,

I found this 1.4 CT, about 2,000 less than most 1.5 CT and this one looks to have a very nice depth and table; also it is only 0.1mm less than most 1.5 CTs I find. Does this look like a good stone for the price? I included a 1.51 I am looking at; which stone looks best?

we don't really have enough information about those diamonds.

Do the links not work. Or is the GIA certs not enough in regards to information. what kind of info should I seek out from the vendor?

Also the HCA score for the 1.4 = 2.0 for the 1.51 = 4.9

Ditto slg - those are virtual stones, meaning that WF doesn't own them or even have them in-store. To get more info - Sarin scan, ASET photo, gemologist review - you'll have to request that they have it shipped out for inspection. You'll want to ask WF about this process if you're interested - there are a variety of timelines and fees involved.

The GIA is a good start, but GIA averages around eight sections of diamond, then rounds, then prints those rounded averages and assigns a proportions-based cut grade, so we can't tell you anything about the nuances of appearance or performance. Certainly no GIA Ex will be flat-out ugly, but within any given grade there are different ranges and flavours, and if you're looking for that sort of detail you'll need more information ::)

I would nix the 1.51 based on the rounded averaged GIA proportions, but I gotta say I've *never* seen green fluor in a near-colourless stone before!
