I'm considering subscribing to one of these. Can you guys please share which you currently/ plan to subscribe to, and can you share why?

I have both. Amazon prime was mostly for the free 2 day shipping and even one day shipping on most products they sell but it is a nice perk to have access to the videos (there is a decent amount that is free under prime). Netflix to binge watch a good many seasons. Some of the shows have overlap on both platforms but many are exclusive to each platform (ie: Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is exclusive to Prime).

Hi @Phoenix We have both. But probably just because I have FOMO. Fear of missing out. LOL. But we use Amazon Prime for buying lots of things so that is a no brainer subscription for us for that reason alone. The Prime TV is just a bonus.

We do watch both however most recently because of the PS threads helping me find decent shows. I cannot say which I prefer because they both have good original programming. For the price I find it is worth it. What I should give up (that I probably never will but you never know) are the cable channels I subscribe to. That is pricey and for how often (we don't) watch cable tv it isn't worth it. Plus everything ends up sooner or later on Netflix or Amazon or Hulu (which we don't have).

We have both. Netflix has alot but I usually have to supplement with prime. We got prime for the shipping but I find the tv and movies aren't bad either.

Both. It's hard to find something good on just one service.

Haha I remember when I was adamant I wasn’t paying for TV. Then I moved to a building one could not get reception without a cable subscription. That was 1995. But before then I didn’t have cable. We had less to watch but seemed to be entertained just fine. And TV watching was free.

We have both... Prime mostly for shipping and Netflix for binging. However, they both have some really good "exclusive" shows and are relatively inexpensive.

Both, I can't live without Prime and Netflix is like $8/month.

Alas, here in Singapore, the government censors everything and consequently a lot of shows are not available for viewing.

Me thinks I may need both.

Lol, too funny, @missy!

One of my fave is Empire. I used to watch it on TV but no longer have one. I love the bling (duh! haha), clothes and the music. Will need to look for it, not sure who has it.

Hi @Phoenix, I never watched Empire but I think it is going to be coming back soon..let me find out. BRB.

OK so in our area (NY) it is returning 11/28 on Fox TV (WNYW) at 8PM and 12/5 at 8PM

And you can watch episodes online too.

Shoot! It won't let me watch it! Something about "geographic restriction" which means it's been censored by our beloved SG government , which is so weird bc it's been broadcast on regular TV.

Thank you though for linking me.x

We have both because I order from Amazon all the time. Prime shipping is the best thing ever. I watch Prime shows occasionally. They had Downton Abbey and we watched all the seasons in about 3 months. I really like doing that because waiting between seasons is a pain. I loved The Crown on Netflix, too. I guess I kind of like historical dramas! My daughter and I binge watch some cute Chinese shows with subtitles, too!

My Netflix is $11.76 a month including taxes, so very close to the same as your price, Phoenix.

Have them both! There’s some overlap. Both are good. Mostly use Prime for the shipping but occasionally for the movies, etc. Do the free usage period and see which one you like.
