I think that''s awesome. I hope they raise good money. I started donating to Best Friends after Huricane Katrina. They help a lot of animals in need.

Anyone else think the ebay add is shady looking? First of all, there are no actual pictures of the ring and very little description of the piece. Secondly, the ring doesn''t look as elegant as a neil lane. The setting looks like it was taken from an adwar catelog...

No, it''s legit.. I got an email from Best Friends about the auctions they are doing. Check their website.. www.bestfriends.org

right now they are auctioning off clothing, a walk-on role in a movie, other jewelry and vintage art pieces. It''s a great cause. The ring went for $3250.. at lot lower than expected, but I agree, they had very minimal information listed about it.

It's very... underwelming isn't it? I much prefer Leon's three stone settings. *shrug* It is for a good cause though. 3,500 is about right... no way I would have paid 15K for that!
