It's really hard to see the faceting but I think I like the shape of the one on the left. Do I see a culet as well?

Those are two very different kinds of cushion - what kind of setting will it be in? If an antique-style setting, definitely the one on the left. If a modern style setting, the one on the right.

Overall I like the one on the right more based on this picture - looks like it has edge-to-edge brightness. I'm not even a fan of modern cushions so this preference puzzles me, but there it is.

yes these are both very different cushion one on the left is a chunky faceted cushion and the one on the right is a modern cushion..the stone will be set in a split shank halo ring with pave diamonds like this. the cushion diamond on the left does have a cutlet..but that is because it is a chunky faceted cushion.

I also agree with the left, chunkier cushion if you are going for that setting. Both are lovely stones, but with what you've selected, IMO, the left diamond would suit it better.

Looks like a gorgeous setting!!!

Can you give us details about the 2 diamonds?

I'm going to go against the grain here and pick the cushion on the right. It's bigger and seems more symmetrical. I don't know if it's my eyes playing tricks on me, but the cushion on the left seems to be more rounded on its right hand side compared to the left.

Left.

I prefer a distinct geometric pattern to random small facets.

Also that particular pattern is reminiscent of a flower; that may be a primal influence.

Well, my dear, I see your dilemma. I like chunky...so I go with the one on the left, but I like size too and the one on the right looks larger ...I guess I would pick the one that is performing the best...the most light return. do you have ASETs? Can you give the specs on these two stones. Also the chunky one seems to be facing up whiter, but may just be the angle.

Need more info. to choose. They both look nice to me.

I still like the one on the right more. Do you actually have these diamonds in your possession? How long before you need to make a decision? Can you look at only diamond A on one day, then only diamond B on the next day, then put them both away and see which one you miss more? My preference for gemstones is usually made pretty clear when the one I like is taken away and I wanting desperately to look at it again. Both of these seem like good stones and will look great with that kind of setting, so it really just comes down to your personal preference.

Surprisingly, I prefer the one on the right. I like the nice squarish shape better, as opposed to the more rounded shape of the left. It also appears brighter in the photo.

My vote is for the one on the left. If you had to pick right this second, which would you choose? Don't think about it, just answer. The first one that comes to your mind is probably the one you really want.

Based on that one photo I think I actually prefer the one on the right - I like the edge-to-edge brightness and the more square shape - it seems a bit higher in color and larger face-up as well.... but more pics (including profile shot) and actual stats could well make me change my mind.

If you just want to know which I am draw to more....then its the one on the right. Its squarer which I like. I think the other looks quite vintage, being roundish and with an open culet.
