Need your opinions on a setting

I am 90% sure I am going to go with a 2 ct round (the other 10% is a cushion), but I think both will probably look good with these settings.
I stopped by a local jeweler in my never-ending quest for the perfect setting. There were 2 that I like, but one of them I *especially* like. But before I tell you which one I like better, can you please vote which you think look better on my hand? The center is a CZ of about 2 ct, so should be pretty close to what it will look like.

(And OMG, I need lotion and a manicure, he he)

I picked the first one because I absolutely love that profile shot, but honestly, a huge center like that would look amazing on a plain band! Can't go wrong with either of these!

The first one. I like the "flow" of it (center stone graduating to smaller side stones and then pave) and it doesn't take away from the center because it's a 2 carat!

Gypsy, you are not a fan of either of these? I know it's a matter of personal preference, but what would you change in these if you were getting one?

I voted for number 2. I thought #1 was too busy.

I prefer the width of the shank of the first one, but I like a solitaire better on your hands, it just suits it better. If the second one were A) a little less steep and B) thicker (match the width of your band at least) I think I would prefer it.

Thank you! My thoughts are actually similar. I would like a slightly thicker band, and I also love the look of the double claw.

trouble is, I have not been able to see it in person, no local vendors have it. I am thinking I should have a custom one similar to the Vatche one but perhaps tapered pave sides...

Gorgeous. As long as that shank is 2mm I think THAT is my first choice. I'd go with the Vatche though (provided it is 2mm for a 2 carat stone).

+1! This last setting is perfect, good proportions, love the claws, and definitely think a solitaire suits you hand best. If you can get this Vatche, I'd definitely pick it!

Here is a lovely elongated GIA 2.35c J VS2 cushion brilliant set in a ring. it is in your budget. You should seriously consider this one IMO. Very nice and large and great cut. The vendor is very respected on PS.
