i''m reposting this because i had accidentally posted in SMTR. I''ll ask admin to delete that thread.

hello! i''m still looking for my stone, and came across one that has potential. it scored well on the HCA (1.4), but i want to get some opinions on the crown/pav angle combo, table size, depth, etc. what are your preferences, and would you buy this stone (color and clarity aside)? why or why not? thanks in advance!
Table: 55.4%
Crown Angle: 35.1
Pavilion Angle: 40.7
Depth: 62.1%
Girdle: Faceted 1.5%-3.9%

HCA scores it 1.4 with EX in all categories except for spread. Looks like a nice cut. But I''m far from an expert.

It looks promising, do you have an Idealscope image of this diamond?

thanks for the fast responses! no, i don''t have an idealscope image yet. i''ve read so much about the different angle combinations and am curious to see what people think of this combo...more fire, more scintillation..etc

It has potential. Do you have all the other stats on it, including diameter?

yes! it''s 8.77*8.79*5.45, G, SI2, AGS0

i''m just having issues because the stone has black inclusions (but the manufacturer says it is eye clean). is it possible for the stone to be eye clean when it is so included under the loupe?? i am having trouble resizing the picture because it is in adobe..once i figure it out i will attach the pic!

Sure.

Eye-clean is defined in the FAQ

Eyecleanliness can depend on many things including the vision of the viewer, size of the diamond etc. The industry uses this definition of eyeclean to give you some idea - no inclusions visible at arms length with normal vision in 'normal' light as a baseline. Some SI clarities can be eyeclean at close scrutiny, others may not be, so you need to let your vendor know your expectations.

well, my wf rep is hesitant to recommend the stone to me due to the inclusions, so i am going to pass on this one. here is the link to the same stone on ja. as you can see, there are MANY inclusions
