Need your expert advice on this stone please.

Hello everyone,

ok I may be going off the deep end here and may actually need a break from looking. What do you guys think of this one? From ExcelDiamonds.

The only reason I am considering it is because its an ideal cut at 1.8ct under 9k. But I may be sacrifising too much color here.
I can't believe how hard this process has been for me.

can you post the specs for this? A K stone will probably show a tint of yellow - you ok with that?

I agree with DF, I like the proportions of the AGS, so if it's eye clean that would be my choice. I'll take a look at other options for you.

Between the 2, the second is a better stone based on the info you provided. Ask about eye clean from the distance YOU are comfortable with (12"? 8"? you decide).

Thank you both very much, I am sorry I didnt get back to you yesterday.

I have asked for an iscope image of the second one. Now please don't laugh but what constitutes it being eye clean. I will ask exceldiamonds about it. I wonder if they will be honest with me in that regard.

I also really liked the diamons you suggested from JAllen.

Unfortunately, it's going to be tough finding a 1.5 excellent cut for $8k if you want to keep the color above J. Which setting are you going for? Can you afford to spend a little more?

I completely agree with you. I just thought it was rare to see a 1.8ct (the first stone on this post) in the mid 8k in spite of it being a K Color and Si1. I put it through the HCA and it tells me the girdle is dangerouly thick due to its depth size but reading exceldiamond site it states the girdle is thin to medium. So I'm confused.

I thought it was worth a shot. My limit is definitely at around 8k. I wish I can go more but due to time constraints I can save enough for it. I'm thinking now to just go for something at around 1.25 with an excellent cut, not ideal which is killing me.
