If you try Mitchum and don't like it... I'd try Old Spice.

I know, I know. It is so bizarre that I wear Old Spice, especially because I am about as girly as it get. But men's deodorant is SO MUCH BETTER than any women's that I've ever tried.

Oupeargirl, you crack me up! Are there different scents of Old Spice? I don't mind using it but for some reason that Old Spice scent will forever be in my mind and remind me of my grandpa!!! hahahaha!

As with shampoo/conditioner for your hair, you are just going to have to try a few out to find what works for u.

With regards to mascara that work well for me, I really have been impressed with Covergirl Lashblastfusion. I avoided this because I hate its bulky packaging and its wand looks odd to me. However, my mother had a coupon and bought me one to try. This mascara claims to lengthen and add fullness to your lashes, which it did for me. I really thought I was going to hate its wand, but, I find it grabs my lashes and I can even get them to curl a bit, which was surprising, since I have heavy lashes that are very straight. Its shade of black is nice too, not too dark, not too light...just right for my lashes and my fair complexion. Its narrower end actually gets at those harder to reach lashes near the inside of my eye.

However, I have difficulty using Lashblastfusion on my bottom lashes, so I use my Full and Soft mascara on those. Maybelline Full and Soft does exactly what its name suggests. It is just enough mascara to slightly darken and volumize your lashes, but in a subtle way. I use this when I am going for a barely there makeup look and on my bottom lashes.

A dramatic mascara I use for evening is Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. I have yet to find a darker black mascara, however, I have a hard time working with its formula and rely on my spoolie to fix my errors.

Chiming in late here....

I have very oily skin, and I workout at lunch time with mascara on, and I've found that my favorite mascara is Maybelline's Lash stiletto (waterproof). It does not smudge at all, and it's WAY less expensive than some of the brands mentioned here. I'm queen of Mascara, I love trying different ones on, in fact I got a Sephora Mascara sampler gift box with 10 different ones from my brother, and I STILL like my LASH STILLETO the best!

As for deoderant, I use an aerosol spray, does not leave residue, but I cannot remember the name. IT's a powder blue canister with pink writing.

That's a good one too! I found it great for lengthening my lashes. People have a love/hate relationship with mascara though, but I love it.

Haha they have a lot of different scents! I smell it for the first 10 minutes or so, then I don't smell it ever again. I've asked my friends before (we're oddly close) if I smell like a boy, and I don't. My boyfriend thinks it's funny that we wear the same deodorant. Hahahah!

Thanks for all of the info Omieluv! I am going to try a couple this week and report back! I wanted to stop today to get some but I had an allergist appt and I got a bunch of allergy testing done, so I just wanted to come home. Tomorrow, I will head out!

Good to know Jaysonsmom, I like hearing from the other oily skin ladies. It sucks to have oily skin but the good news is that we have less wrinkles. Problem is my skin is more prone to breakouts! Aw well!

Aerosol is a great idea for sure!

Hahahaha! Glad to hear you aren't smelling like a boy!!! Hey, if it works, it works you know? Any residue left on your clothes? That is a huge priority!

If I had to pick between the Clinique Lash Power and the Blinc, I'd recommend Clinique. I haven't been wearing the Blinc for long, but I've been wearing the Clinique for years, so I can really recommend it. Unless you're bawling your eyes out and rubbing them, it's not going anywhere and will definitely not give you raccoon eyes or run. Even if you do bawl your eyes out and rub them, you'll just rub off some of the mascara, but it will brush away and be gone - no unsightly smudges will be left.

I like the little brush on the Clinique because you can put two, three, or more coats on until you get the thickness you want (just make sure to put the coats on one after another, with maybe 30 seconds in between, while still wet - don't put on one, let it dry for a few minutes, put another on, etc or it can get clumpy). With Blinc, I find one coat is plenty, while I was putting on three coats of Clinique for a night out.

I also have zero issues putting mascara on the bottom lashes and having smudges (this mascara just doesn't smudge once it's dry) and I don't need to do all of that foundation/powder/eye shadow under the eye that others suggested while using this mascara. Those are good suggestions, and can't hurt, I'm just saying that you won't need such measures with a mascara like this, because it's not oil based so it won't dissolve and rub off from your skin's oils. And once it's dry, it's dry. Even if you get it wet, it will come off like a little solid tube, not smudge off like regular mascara.

Elrohwen, I picked up the Clinique lash power today! I like the small brush! Very easy to apply, I'll keep you posted on how it wears on me!

I hope it works for you! It's the most waterproof formula I've tried that hasn't smudged. I'm liking Blinc, but when this tube is out I think I'm going to go back to Clinique.

Though I may have to try the Stiletto! I really want a true waterproof formula to take to the beach and go swimming in. I can swim in the tube-type mascaras, but in salt water I just have to rub my eyes and I end up rubbing it off. I was hopping to find a true waterproof that would work for me, so I'll try this.

None, ever! I've been using it for over a year with no problems.

Great news Elrohwen!!!! :appl: :appl: :appl: I just checked and no black smudges!!!! It is hot and humid here too 90 degrees today. I took my son out for a walk and everything and nothing! One question for you though....I only did one coat. If I want to do one more coat to build it up a little, you said to just do one right after the other right? Don't wait? Just checking!!!! Thanks for the great recommendation!!!!!! :wavey:

Good to know. I've solved my mascara issue now I have to head to the pharmacy to try some deodorant options!
