Well it is FINALLY time for me to choose a stone and I have it narrowed down to 3. I will not inform anybody of my personal favorite as to not bias any opinions that I may get….so here they are

Stone 1 from Winfields
H&A .71ct I VS2
Depth – 61.5%
Table – 56%
Crown Angle – 34.8
Crown Depth – 15
Pavillion Angle – 40.8
Pavilion Depth - 43
HCA Br – Fr – Sc – Sp
0.8 Ex-ex-ex-vg
Fluor – none
Polish – ex
Symmetry - ex
5.73 x 5.79 x 3.54

Stone 2 from Whiteflash
H&A ACA .706ct I SI1
Depth – 62.1%
Table – 54.9%
Crown Angle – 34.6
Crown Depth – 15.7
Pavillion Angle – 40.7
Pavilion Depth – 42.9
HCA Br – Fr – Sc – Sp
1.1 Ex-ex-ex-vg
Fluor – none
Polish – ideal
Symmetry – ideal
5.68 x 5.71 x 3.54

Stone 3 from Whiteflash
H&A ACA .72 J SI1
Depth – 61.2%
Table – 56%
Crown Angle – 34.7
Crown Depth – 15.3
Pavillion Angle – 40.8
Pavilion Depth – 43
HCA Br – Fr – Sc – Sp
1.3 Ex-ex-ex-vg
Fluor – none
Polish – ideal
Symmetry – ideal
5.77 x 5.8 x 3.54

The prices on all of these stones are in the same ballpark so that is a non issue, I am just wondering if the majority of people will pick what I have chosen. And of course the most important thing, the setting is going to be done hopefully by Mark Morrell (still need to confirm though) and it will be similar to
this one. Any help or opinions would be a great assistance in this effort since it is one of those ''once in a lifetime'' purchases. Thank you so much to all of those that have assisted in this effort over the past several months!!!!

I wonder if you considered this stone? Almost the same as your stone 2, same price too, but is less deep, so will have a better face up size, 5.73-5.77x3.53.

With regards to your candidates, assuming eye-clean, I would choose stone 3.

Actually SC, 62.1% is still in a good range for depth.

Also you wouldn't notice hardly if any difference between the diameter of that diamond at 5.68 x 5.71 x 3.54 or the one you linked at 5.73-5.77x3.53. . I hope you don't mind me mentioning that!

Nalgene, I must admit I have a weakness for Infinity h&a if that is Wink's diamond, otherwise if the SI from WF are eyeclean to your standards then any would be a fine choice.

Stone 2. VS2 is overkill in that carat size, SI1 is fine. Personally, I color is as low as I would go, so that''s my pick.

Lorelei, I know it is still within the ideal range, just mentioning that there was another stone with almost the same specs but will look bigger...

Think Wink''s stone is not a Cut by Infinity, still a H&A though.

I don''t know if it would SC, that is such a tiny difference in diameter I doubt if it would look bigger.

heh, slightly... 0.05mm? :P

Problem with going by numbers... :P always trying to squeeze out most performance... haha, guess a little stupid.. :P

By the way, is crafted by infinity H&A really good? Some of the H&A pics of their stones does not look that good to me, is that just poor photography? Sorry for the treadjack...

You are doing a great job in RT and I have been meaning to tell you that!!!! I know it is easy to try to squeeze out the most spread and it did become a big thing a while ago ( before your time) that it was taken to extremes a bit - which is very easy to do! Also generally in the smaller weights/ sizes, small variations in spread will be more noticeable but looking at diamonds of this cut quality I would think there wouldn't be a perceivable difference between the two at direct comparison - what you would notice however is the edge to edge light return which would help these diamonds look larger possibly than their lesser cut counterparts!

ETA- Infinity diamonds are superb, I think it could be the case of the images not being that clear now and then, in the time I have been here I have seen some MAGICAL Infinity! I just really love the brand and also that they cut lower colours to superideal standards, I often see M N colour and also at times O and P I seem to recall. As I love warmer colours, that adds extra appeal.

Thanks, Lorelei. :)

I know, I am eyeing their P SI1 stone with Wink. It also has the VSB which I also like. Only the H&A pic on the Infinity website is making me reconsider... Well, I don''t have the cash now to buy it anyway. Hope that by the time I am ready it is still around... :P
