i'm looking at a cushion stone that I need to make a decision about. Been dragging out this upgrade ring because no matter how much k read and study here, I don't trust myself to know a good stone.

I don't have any pictures, but I have a Sarin report.

Shape: cushion
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Fair
Weight: 2.03 CT
Diameter: 7.12x7.11x4.70 mm
Table size: 74.7%
pavilion depth: 52.9%. 3.76 mm
Crown height: 6.5%. 0.46 mm
Girdle: min: 4.7%. Max: 7.6%
total depth: 66.1%
table off center: .11 mm
L/w ratio: 1.00:1

The numbers give me some concern as far as the table % and the symmetry being fair. It's a very nice square, which I like, and it does look symmetrical to my eyes. I am mainly concerned with sparkle, shine, and fiery whiteness.

And I can't purchase online because I need to use financing. I'm looking at some stones from another store that I think seem promising.

Thanks!

And I need to make a decision about this stone very quickly. I've been looking at it for weeks and need to take the plunge or commit to moving forward at the other store. It does look very pretty to me, but again I don't trust myself. I put a lot of stock in the numbers, as well as my opinion on what I see.

So, thoughts?

I'm sorry, we just cant really tell you much about cuchions with only the numbers. Have you looked at it in all different types
of lighting? How long is the return period? Can you test drive it for a while then send it back if it doesnt live up to your
standards?

Tyty, I'm not sure about their return policies. I can say it does look very pretty to me. I feel like I need to see the rounds first because what if I fall more in love with one of them?

Well I just put in a lot of information about the rounds I'm considering at another store, but I don't see it now. The price will come out the same, and they have the same setting that I want.

This is the info I have on the rounds. I will have more after I see them in person. This is the info I got from their loose diamonds online.

1.8, color H, clarity VS2, ideal cut hearts and arrows, excellent polish, excellent symmetry.

1.89, color D, clarity SI1, polish very good, symmetry very good. comments-eye clean ball of fire, very lively.

1.94, color H, clarity SI1, polish very good, symmetry very good. Comments-100% eye clean and white ball of fire, very lively.

for the rounds do you have the GIA report number?

I don't, Sig. Sorry.

That table size alone is enough for me not to buy. I like small tables though.

GreenEyeLady - Unfortunately, I'm not much of a diamond expert, so I can't help you there. I did notice that you wrote that you plan on financing this purchase. I certainly don't want to offend you by offering unsolicited advice, but I can't help but mention that financing an item like a piece of jewelry is almost never a good idea. Jewelry is lovely, and something that many people cherish. However, it is not a requirement in life nor is it a stable investment, and a person should not spend money they don't have on discretionary items. Rather, a person should save their money, and wait for a time in life when they could afford to purchase the jewelry of their dreams without paying interest. This stone will cost you many more dollars over the life of your loan then it will when you are able to comfortably afford it.

Please don't take this the wrong way. It's your money, spend it however you see fit.

Thanks for the feedback, Charmypoo. Stu, no offense taken.
