SOOOO....my GF is set on the Tacori 2620 medium which holds a center stone of 1.2 to 1.79 I believe....My budget is 7-8K ish for the center diamond.... I would like to be in the range of 1.2-1.5 with a diamond that has a lot of fire/scintillation....does anyone have any diamond recommendations....I'm currently awaiting GOG response with some diamond choices.

I am in the same boat as you actually. Just a suggestion to help you save money without sacrificing too much but the 2620 for the small setting holds up to a 6.89mm center stone. So you can still get a 1.2ct stone in that range. What I would suggest is to also look at even smaller ct weight stones but not with as of a deep cut depth. So for example I found several 1.10-1.15ct stones with depth % of 60.5-61.4% that are somewhere around 6.7-6.8mm when going to a site like diamdb.com and comparing stone sizes you could match face up sizes similar to deep cut 1.3ct stones. I actually compared a 6.7mm stone to a 7mm stone which resulted in a 9% faceup increase, it was barely noticeable to me, literally almost overlapping one another. Not only can you get a stone that's closer to your lower end budget but you could also save about 500 on the setting as well.

Just an idea, as this is what I am doing. If that is what you wanna do I'll let the experts find you a nice stone in the lower ct but higher mm range.

Thank you so much for the advice...I actually contacted WF since I'm in Houston. They told me they recently stopped selling Tacori. The other reason I'm shying away is the fact I have to pay sales tax since I'm in Texas. I'm looking at GOG or others.

With pricescope discount it's

$8070: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R134-GS1CMS - 1.34 Ct. I-VS1 Diamond

$7170: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R115-7PJZNX - 1.15 Ct. H-VS2 Diamond

$7310: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R117-B2L4CM - 1.17 Ct. G-SI1 Diamond

$8210: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R120-R3QRBE - 1.20 Ct. G-VS1 Diamond

Some suggestions if you are looking, I'd also recommend copying the GIA numbers and cross referencing other sites that might have it cheaper like b2c.

They stopped their partnership with them but they still have stock Tacori rings in their inventory. WF is authorized to still work on them (resizing, setting stone, etc) and maintain their warranty for a year from this month from my understanding.

GOG is awesome too, and that's who I am going with for the setting.

The 1.24ct would be my pick out of the three. Even with that feather near the girdle on a si2. Just make sure it's eye clean stone

I agree, the 1.24 is my first pick. Then 1.3, then 1.35. Have you/her seen a J in person? It may be too tinted for you.

I haven't seem a J yet. I'm thinking lowest an I...I might just have to up the budget a bit...still waiting to hear back from GOG :(

Have GOG do a quick lineup video with all three stones. Compare and contrast.
