Any reason to think it wont be?
That is not the right way to encourage people to use an independant appraiser.
We will agree that its a great for them to use one but going about it that way is not good.

Storm, I think you're overreacting.
If Ed had said "only an independent appraiser can help you make sure the stone matches up".....or "you really can't know about a stone without taking it to an independent appraiser".....then perhaps I'd see your point. RockDoc used to do that, and I really felt it crossed the line.
I think, however, that's Ed's point is more generic, and I don't find that comment self-promotional. I think the witch-hunt on self-promotion is getting a bit carried away, to be honest.
However, to satisfy the masses, I'LL say it......it's always a good idea to get an independent appraisal.
