I first want to say thank you to everyone on this site! I have spent countless hours reading and learning and would have been completely lost if it wasn''t for everyone here.
So first of all, my girlfriend and I have been looking for engagement rings for a while. Her job is the setting, mine is the diamond. She basically picked out a Vatche X-prong setting. When we were looking at a B&M that I have bought many pieces for her from, they informed us they could make almost the exact ring for $700. So, tomorrow I am going there to see the drawings for that.
Now for the diamond, I have been set on an AGS0 and have been looking at whiteflash''s ACA. I told the B&M that I was going to get the diamond online and they assured me they could get an equal diamond for the same price. So, in giving them a chance they have told me they have GIA excellent diamonds in but no AGSs. They also told me they have an idealscope to view the diamonds. So, tomorrow when I am in there, I am going to try to get some pictures of the idealscope images on my camera and post here for some opinions. Any pointers on how best to take the image? I also will get all of the numbers for the HCA. Is there anything else I can get to help make the best decision?
Again thank you to everyone on here!
