Hello,

I discovered this website when searching for the new "square" cuts. Like some of the posters here, I'm looking to get a rock with fire and brillance but in the squarish shape. Was very excited to see the Jubilee but there doesn't seem to be any in stock right now at the specs that I'm looking for (E, VS1, 1.3-1.5 Carats, ideal cut, excel polish).

Sooo....would appreciate your thoughts on how this diamond measures up to the brillance factor... I'm looking to get maximum sparkles (like the Jubilee)... I'm not sure how to interpret the numbers....

From the Sarin Report:
Weight 1.5
Width/Length 6.34-6.34
Total Depth 68.5% 4.34mm
Crown Angle 41.8% (49.5-43.2)
Crown Height 12.5% (12.3-12.6)
Pavil Angle 60.0 (58.5-61.5)
Pavil Depth 53.3% (52.6-53.8)
Table Size 68.9% (68.4-69.3) 4.36 mm
Gridle Thickness 2.8 (2.4-3.3)
Culet: 1.0%

From the GIA report:
6.33 x 6.27x 4.36
Total Depth :69.5%
Table size: 69%
Culet: none

E, VS1, Polish: excellent, cut: ideal, florenscene: none, symmetry: v good;

Also there are around 10 short red dashes on the reference diagrams indicating that they are "feathers" and points" - I thought that was a lot...

Any advice is appreciated!!! Thanks!!

$14K seems a bit steep. Have you used the search engine on the home page or even the prices page? I used Dave Atlas'' chart to determine the numbers I would be comfortable with ie table and depth. If you check appraisers under resources his name comes up. He came up with a chart for fancy cuts you may want to take a look at.
Are you uncomfortable with the VS1 clarity? Whiteflash has a F IF 1.525 A cut above princess for $15481 if money''s no object...
Perhaps if you also search princess cuts... Researcher who owns a beautiful princess cut set would be the one to ask... if she''s around...

Thanks for the tip! :)

I've read that VS1 should be eye clean... I'm just not sure if getting a lot of feathers and spots at 10x would compromise the optics - even though it's rated at VS1.

I guess another way to pose the question is.. if all other factors are held constant, color, cut, carat, etc... but one diamond is IF and the other is VS1, how much more brillant will the IF diamond appear, if at all?

definitely no effect to the human eye. probably unmeasurable by machine.

You can go down in clarity and not see anything. I would consider VS2 and SI1 graded by a reputable lab. Many are completly eye clean and you will see absolutely no difference between those and a VVS.
