Need some advice....did I get a good deal?

Hi all...great site...lots of great info...

anyways, thought I''d get your expert opinions here...

just "agreed" to buy a custom diamond pendant for my girl (will take them about a week to make it)

it is round with diamonds around it, center diamond is .70 carats (F, SI2), no certifications, platinum with platinum chain

all in with tax they quoted me around 1,500 in the downtown l.a. jewelry mart

this seems like a good deal...any comments?

getting close to buying an engagement ring also and this pendant is very similar to it so I thought that''d be cool....would prob buy the ring from this same place....

Without more details they will not be able to advise you - you would need depth, table, crown and pavilion angles. Also without it being graded by a professional lab like GIA or AGS there would be no way to confirm the color or clarity for purposes here (unless you took it and had it appraised).

All the info I had was what I listed (F, SI2)...it didn''t have the certifications, etc. hence cheaper...

When I get around to buying an engagement ring, I will definitely get all that info and review in detail....figured not as urgent on a pendant, etc.
