I recently purchased a .88ct Royal asscher and was suppose to get my custom ring in this week, but Boo on them it won''t be back until next week! Anyways, I was wondering if all the wonderful PS-ers would help me? I have attached a picture of what my ring should look like. It is a reproduction of a Daniel K ring. I didn''t find the setting I wanted until after I already had the diamond. Who knew Daniel K wouldn''t like my diamond? I tried several times to contact Daniel K to pretty please my way to getting them to make me a ring, but they said no. I guess I am not that charming. Anyhow, back on topic. Do any of you know of any pave bands that would look nice with this ring? I was thinking maybe a knife type? Or maybe there is something better out there? Thanks so much!

Beautiful ring! Are you looking for something to fit flush? If so, that would have to be custom because it looks like the head sticks out from the band. I don''t know about a knife-edge with that. Personally, I would probably go for something that matches the band of the ring --- bead set diamond band. I''ll try to find a pic to show you.

What about something like this, but leave one side without diamonds so it doesn't scratch the stones on your engagment ring?

This is from Pearlman's website.

It''s tough because as you might want a matching sort of band, I wouldn''t recommend that as you will have diamonds rubbing against diamonds. What Demelza showed you is great so long as it''s not 3 sided pave.

Why wouldn''t they work with you? Who is making it for you now? I like the band Dem posted. And I belive Jadeleaves had one made by platnuim smith which was two sided so they the diamonds did not rub. If you are goint custon on your e-ring though ytou may want to do the same with your wedding band.

The reason I was thinking about going for a not flush fit band is because of the work I do and how active I am. I would be way to rough on my e-ring. If they could make my ring out of what they make the space shuttle out of it would be best. I like the pave that you showed me Dem, but why would 3 sided pave be bad? I am new to this sorry! Also, I have been trying to get good ideas on cleaning, but no one seems to agree. Are sonic cleaners bad? Thanks again!

You don''t want to wear 2 3-sided rings next to eachother because the diamonds that touch will scratch each other up. Diamonds may be one of the hardest substances on earth, but one diamond can easily cut another diamond. If your ering is 3-sided, your wband should be 2-sided and you should wear the non-diamond side towards your ering.
