Hi, Me again. Thanks to Sparkalicious'' help, I''ve found my way to White Flash and there ACA diamonds. There are 2 I''m considering - I''d like to make a decision tomorrow and would like your opinion as to which looks good (A) or (B).

(A) is an ACA with a 0.9 HCA score
(B) is their Expert Selection Ideal Cut with a 1.1 HCA score.

Both are around 0.4 carat, SI and inspected eye-clean face up. (A) is a H color and (B) is an (E). There''s only about $30 difference between the two.

I''m leaning towards (B) but its Ideal-scope image is paler than (A)...does that mean it won''t sparkle as much?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!
Jeanne

What are the crown, pavillion, table and depth specs?

No expert here, but without further info, I vote for A... I like the symmetry better and B has a black inclusion that I don''t like.

Hi Jeanne! Yay! I''m glad you found Whiteflash!

I have to say if you are choosing from the 2 diamonds below, even though I would usually go with the E color, I would go with A just because B has an inclusion right in the centre of the table. It looks to be dark and to be relatively sizeable. Even if you look at the ASET image, you see that inclusion.

What are you looking for again, specs wise? D - H color, around .40 carats and SI (eyeclean) clarity? If so, let''s see what we can find you.

Jeanne - If you are still looking .. This one on Whiteflash looks delicious!

It is 0.418 G VS2 - $991 pre PS discount
I seriously love this diamond and it may be perfect for your pendant?

It scores 1.4 Ex/Ex/Ex/Vg on the Holloway Cut Advisor and it falls right within BOTH the AGS Ideal & GIA Excellent ranges. I bet this beauty sparkles like crazy!

Hey ... if you don''t want it .. I might steal this one to make myself a half a pair of diamond studs.

You likey?

Thanks everyone,

I was worried about the black spot in (B) as well but was tempted by the D color (sounded so cool to have a D diamond

), but maybe (A)''s the better candidate. (A)''s specs are:

. Depth %: 61
. Table %: 55.3
. Crown Angle: 34.6
. Crown %: 15.4
. . Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.8
. Lower Girdle %: 78
. Girdle: Thin Faceted
. Measurements: 4.81-4.87X2.94

Sparkalicious, I definitely do like

. I''m going to give them a call about it tomorrow...hope you don''t mind! If it doesn''t work out for me...you can still have dibs! BTW - what do I have to do to qualify for the PS discount?

Hiya Jeanne -- A definitely looks like it could be a wiiiinnner as well! ... especially since its an ACA too. It falls right within both the AGS Ideal & GIA Excellent ranges on the HCA ...

No ... no worries. You go ahead and get it! If you do I will be SO excited that I was able to help you find the diamond you will love in your pendant!

Besides, I'm just being naughty ... I should NOT be buying anymore jewelry right now.

PS discount - Not exactly sure how it works but I do know that you get a discount if you choose to pay via bankwire instead of by credit card and I believe you also get a maybe 3%, not sure, discount for being a PS member. Talk about membership having privileges!

Please, please do let me know how it goes and what you decide. This is so much fun ... Thanks for letting be a part of your decision making process.

A because it''s cleaner. I like clean, don''t you?

A just because it talks to me more

Ditto Strm, the A diamond just looks fantastic.

I like the G VS2 that Sparks posted better than the other two. I''d love the E color except for that inclusion. And I''d rather have G than H, although I have some H diamonds! So the H would be my second choice.

What have you decided to do? Did you get it?

Hi - everybody,

Guess what? I did it!! Bought my first WF diamond!

Sparks - Unfortunately I wasn''t able to get the VS2 G you recommended. I got beat to the punch - there was already a RESERVE on it when I got to it the next day
14.gif
(must have been a beaut!)

So... I decided to nab (A). BTW - WF assured me that it''s completely eye-clean. Here''s the link - what do you think? Did we do good?

The only thing is that since I took so long to decide, I won''t get it until after xmas, but that''s OK, it''ll just give me more to look forward to after Xmas.

Thanks again everyone - couldn''t have taken the plunge without you!

You did great! So glad you found what you wanted!!
