Hi everyone -

Long time lurker here on the forums and first time poster.

I've been searching local to me for the last month and have found a loose stone that I am considering purchasing. The retailer is holding it for 24 hours, so I appreciate any quick feedback.

The specs are as follows:
GIA: 2136349989

Measurements: 7.6 x 7.66 x 4.72 mm
Carat: 1.70
Color: I
Clarity: SI2
Overall Cut: Ex
Polish: Ex
Symmetry: Ex
Florescence: Faint

Table: 57%
Depth: 61.9%
Crown: 36%
Pavilion: 40.6%
Girdle: med - slightly thick (faceted) - 3.5%
Cutlet: none

It scored a HCA of 1.8 with marks of:
Light Return: VG
Fire: Ex
Scint: VG
Spread: VG

There were quite a few crystals on the plot, but it appeared eye clean to me from 4-5 in. (and probably even closer). Also there a few twinning wisps, but from limited reading these may not be of a large concern.

Basically, I wanted to get feedback on:
1. Does the price point seem fair (around $13,500)?
2. Are there any concerns from the specs or the GIA cert that could affect performance?
3. The diamond is not laser inscribed with the GIA number. Does that present a concern?

Thanks in advance!!

https://www.pricescope.com/diamond-search-results for pricing check. Make sure you are comparing diamonds with the same refund/exchange/upgrade/buy back policies to yours.

2. I'm sure someone else can tell you.

3. Not really with an SI2. Buy a loupe. Make sure the stone matches the certificate when you get it.

I don't think that's the intended link, is it DS?

Thanks for the comments you two. It sounds like the stone is okay, but the price is too high.
