I'm looking at 2 different diamonds. Need any opinions on what one is better or recommendations on any other ones.

They are both roughly same price.

Was also leaning towards this setting.

She is looking for something flashy that people will notice. Opinions? Recommendations?

Thanks

Post the ASET image from JA if you got it. Else I would go with the WF stone.

I'd choose the WF stone hands down. I can tell from the photo that the JA one will not have the same cut quality as the WF one. You can get an ASET if you like, but there's a lot of leakage/obstruction in the JA stone creating a pattern that isn't visually pleasing. You can find fantastic stones at JA, but this isn't it.

The only reservation I have about the WF stone is that it faces up a bit small for a 1ct princess. For the price, I think I'd prefer this one which reaches almost 5.5mm square and is slightly <1ct: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2790087.htm

I agree with the others, I prefer the WF stone. And since you are leaning toward a setting from them it would make sense to have them set the stone as well. Many insurance companies won't cover the diamond while it is being set, and most jewelers will not take responsibility for setting a stone that they didn't sell, so it's a good idea to purchase the stone and setting from the same vendor. JM however will cover the stone while it is being mounted, they are the only ones to my knowledge though that will.

edit: she will have to wear a spacer between her ering and wedding ring with the setting you chose to prevent damage. Just something to consider.

Any different suggestions?

Have you look at Gabriel & Co? Lots of flashy settings at a great price.

From WF,

I am sure they can get the matching band from Vatche,

I really like the set you are considering. It is flashy and classy. Ask WF if you would need a spacer.
