This has been a heck of a week, started off with a death of a friend. Then DS got diagnosed with Lymes disease, yesterday... He's on antibiotics and so far is doing ok..

This morning it's my doggie Casper.. He's 15 and is such a love, he's my shadow, each and every day. This morning, I noticed his left eye was wonky... He's been acting strange like a thunder storm is coming, but the weather is fine. He's going to the vet tomorrow, couldn't get him an appointment today..

The left eye is kinda tilted, showing the whites of the eye in the corner closest to his nose... Does that make sense?? It's not cockeyed, just like the left eye is looking for right?? Almost as if they eye muscles aren't working??

He's eating and drinking.. But I know something is terribly wrong... I pray he will be ok.. But am not that optomistic, as he's old for a Bichon.

Obviously it's a neurological problem, how bad it is, I will know tomorrow.. Thinking a minor storke or brain tumor from what the vet said, but will know more tomorrow.

Our kids are away, so all they know is Casper is acting like he always does when we have a storm and that I am taking him to the vet tomorrow...

Can you send some prayers that DS has a speedy recovery from Lymes and some for my sweet Casper??

It's funny the other day, I was like Man look at you Casper you are soooo rocking this age thing, and then whammo...

To say this dog is a part of me, the kids and Hubby?? He's it. He's just is the best dog, and cracks us all up, he is so funny and smart. The more we laugh, the more he does funny things.. I hope we have lots of laughter ahead with him, but also have to brace myself..

Many thanks, Lisa

Prayers outgoing!

Oh Lisa, I''m sorry. I will def. say a prayer for sweet Casper. As a fellow doggie owner who''s doggie is considered to be my first born I can totally empathize! I hope your son is okay too and the antibiotics work quickly for him.

Oh Kaleigh im so sorry

Sending so much dust your little ones way...

Kaleigh - you are in my thoughts. Here''s hoping for the best. We once had a kitty that had something similar happen from a spider bite and she recovered fine save a slight cock to her head after (almost like the What? Look). I hope it''s nothing too serious for him

Oh Kaleigh, I''m thinking of you and your son and Casper. I know too many people who have Lyme, and consider myself lucky to have avoided it. But they seem to be able to treat it fairly effectively, so that''s good.

Prayers outgoing dear Lisa, please keep us posted. {{{{HUGS}}}}}

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Saying prayers for your son's quick recovery and your dog's recovery, too.

I''m sending prayers for your son in his fight against Lyme disease, and, of course, healing prayers for Casper.

(((((((((BIG HUGS FOR YOU TOO, KALEIGH))))))))))

Kaleigh, I''m so sorry for your son and your dear little Casper. I''m sure your son will be OK if he finishes his course of antibiotics. Have him checked out afterwards anyway, just to be on the safe side. My girlfriend had to do a second round to really kick her Lymes.

Dealing with our furbabies'' illnesses is so darned hard. I''m hoping for the best for Casper. Maybe it''s not as serious as you think. Maybe it''s a canine Bell''s Palsy type thing. I''ll be praying for you and him. Please let us know how he''s doing. Lots of dust (and prayers).

hugs!!!!
prayers outgoing!!!!

Your family is in my thoughts, Lisa...

15 is a ripe old age for many dogs, but it never seems like enough time. Hopefully it is nothing serious. Best wishes.

Prayers and dust and hugs and good thoughts coming your way.

And, I''m so sorry for the loss of your friend.

Awwww Kaleigh. So sorry to hear.

Good luck sweetie. God I love my pets loads more than I love people. They are just so genuinely loving and giving and the age thing is so unfair. I''m praying that it''s minor.

I''m so sorry to hear about your friend & the Lyme & Casper''s troubles. MUCH DUST for happy vet news tomorrow & healing all around.

For some reason puppy probs just hit me in a place I can''t tolerate. HUGS too to help get through all the worry & uncertainty.

Oh my goodness... When it rains, it pours.

Sending out prayers for you and your family.

I''m so sorry to hear this. I hope things turn out okay tomorrow. It''s so hard to see our furbabies sick.

Oh man, I am so sorry. I am going to keep Casper in my prayers...I hope all goes well tomorrow and he feels better soon, poor baby.

Lisa: I really hope all turns out okay with both DS and Casper. I absolutely understand how much a part of the family a dog can be. Sending prayers your way.

I''m so sorry, sending prayers out to you....
